About Neil Macgillivray
Neil Macgillivray is an entertainer who specialises in the spoken word. Although now living in Glasgow, Neil was brought up on the Isle of Islay, with strong family connections to the Isle of Mull. He was educated at Oban High School - and the Argyllshire link is still strong. He also has historic family ties with Ayrshire.
Principally recognised as a leading performer of the works of Robert Burns. Winner of the three recognised Robert Burns speaking world championships - the 'Tam o'Shanter', the 'Lapraik' and the 'Whistle', Neil is a great asset to any Burns Supper.
He also has a versatility that covers a wide range of skills as a voice-over artist, compere, and story teller. Neil has delighted audiences from Muirhead to Manhattan, Skelmorlie to Singapore - wherever you are in the world, you can arrange to have Neil perform at your event, just get in touch.
