A WINTER NIGHT

2019 is off to a fairly peaceful start with the weather but it will be a while before we see the lengthening of the days – we may yet feel the grip of winter!

"When biting Boreas, fell and doure,

Sharp shivers thro' the leafless bow'r;

When Phoebus gies a short-liv'd glow'r,

Far south the lift,

Dim-dark'ning thro' the flaky show'r,
